Sackett blend towers offer the ultimate blend speed and quality. Raw materials are stored in a cluster bin overhead. Overhead Storage: The bin typically has nine compartments, with six "major" bins and three "micro" bins. A common size is 130 tons of overhead storage, with six 20 ton bins and three 3-1/3 ton bins. Other sizes are available. Batch Weighing: Most Sackett blend towers have a weigh hopper under the overhead cluster bin. The operator transfers via gravity each ingredient for the batch into the weigh hopper. Blending: The weighed batch is then transferred via gravity into the blender. Sackett offers a variety of blenders for towers, including orbital, vertical auger, and paddle type. Blender size ranges from 4 to 10 tons. Common Options:
