Larry Taylor, President of the A. J. Sackett & Sons Company, Baltimore,
MD announces that Glen Magnuson has joined the company effective January 1, 2000
as Vice President of Business Development. Taylor states that he is excited
about the expertise Magnuson brings to the company. Magnuson has over
thirty-five years experience in the fertilizer industry, being employed by
Cargill for twenty-five years, where he rose to the position of Vice President
of the Fertilizer Division. He also spent eight years with the Unifert Group, a
Brussels, Belgium international fertilizer trading company. There he was Senior
Vice President and General Manager of North American fertilizer operations.
After graduation from Western Illinois University with a degree in Botany and
chemistry, Mr. Magnuson completed graduate studies in genetics and microbiology
at the University of Minnesota.
Earlier this year, Glen was appointed to the board of the Fertilizer Industry
Round Table, a fifty-year-old forum for worldwide fertilizer industry leaders.
For A. J. Sackett & Sons, Glen will use his extensive knowledge of the
global fertilizer market to bolster the company’s position as a leader in
fertilizer granulation, pelletizing, blending, handling, and conditioning
systems.
